Payment terms
What your purchasing file needs, in writing.
- When you pay
- We invoice after delivery. Payment is due within 30 days. No deposit.
- How you pay
- EFT or cheque, in Canadian dollars. Payment details are on the invoice. If your rules require a card payment, tell us before you order and we will confirm whether we can take one.
- What is included
- The fixed price covers everything in the quote, including the certified privacy professional’s review. No hourly billing and no added expenses.
- Tax
- Prices are before tax. HST is shown as a separate line on our invoices once we are registered for GST/HST.
- Quote
- A one-page written quote with the scope, price, exclusions, who does what, the delivery date and payment terms, valid for 30 days. The service agreement comes with it.
- Accepting
- Reply “yes”, or send a purchase order that names the quote. A signed copy of the agreement is available if your file needs one.
- Purchasing paperwork
- The one-page quote and scope works for a purchasing file or a direct-award justification. Send your vendor forms and we complete them.
If plans change
- Before work starts
- Either side may end the agreement by email, and you get a full refund of anything paid. Work starts on the day we tell you by email that we have begun.
- After work starts
- You may end it at any time. You pay for the work done up to that day, never more than the quoted price, and we deliver what is done.
- If the rules change
- If a regulation changes what the documents must say before we deliver, we update them at no extra charge. If a change removes the need for the work before we start, you get a full refund.
- If the IPC sends something back
- If the IPC finds a document we prepared is missing content the Act requires, for a reason inside our scope, we fix it free.
